Wow, that was a looong time ago. This was taken my senior year, right after the New Year's Meeting where I met Ivan. 26 years ago! Speaking of the New Year's Meeting - I got to attend the one in OKC and had a great time. I'll try to post pics soon. |

| Well, yesterday was a year since my last post? No way!! So how do I get started again? I guess I will just say hi, and say I have enjoyed reading all of your posts over the past few months. Not much new here - I am still just substitute teaching, Cam is in sixth grade and Ivan is working. Cameron just finished playing football for the first time. I thought I didn't want him to play, but it turned out to be a really good experience for all of us. One of the beauties of having an only child is you are not pulled in any different directions. Ivan and I were able to go to all of his practices and games. It was really fun sitting in the park almost every evening watching him practice. Ivan and I haven't visited with each other that much in years!  I am looking SO forward to Thanksgiving this year. Sara and GV and the kids are coming, so there will only be ten of us this year. It will be kind of nice to have it small for a change. I hope you all have wonderful Thanksgivings!! |

|  Sometimes our children can really embarass us. Sunday was "potluck Sunday" at Manteca. Cameron was a little behind on his trumpet practicing, so he put it in the car before services. I was planning to take him to some brethren's house close by the church building for him to get a little practice time in after lunch. Well, after lunch and cleaning, etc, etc, I wasn't able to take him. I was wiping down tables when someone opened the door, and I distinctly heard the sound of a trumpet. I thought, "Oh, no!!" as it dawned on me that it was probably my son. Sure enough I walked out the door, and right in the middle of the parking lot was my son playing his trumpet, LOUDLY, for all the world to hear. Apparently he had been out there for twenty minutes. At least I am fairly certain he won't try that anytime again soon.  |
